Morton Herskowitz

Herskowitz was born in Trenton, New Jersey in 1918, the only son of two Eastern European Jewish immigrants. He attended public high school and then went to both college and medical school. Upon completion of his medical education, he began a general practice. Several years later he decided to pursue his interest on psychiatry and studied with the late Wilhelm Reich. He has ever since been a practicing psychiatrist in the Philadelphia area.

Over the last several decades he has traveled extensively throughout North America and the world. By combining his analytical talents with his artistic ones, he has produced a series of striking visual recollections of his travels. This exhibition represents the first public display of his collected works.
