Photo Gallery West held its inaugural exhibition to coincide with both University City's GO WEST 3rd Thursday on October 19, 2000 and the MidAtlantic Society for Photographic Education's regional conference, "Pleasures and Terrors of the City 2000. In keeping with the SPE conference theme, the first exhibition was entitled "Our Town" and featured these Philadelphia photographers:
